Family issue update on missing Brit Joshua Kershaw who ‘never made flight home’ from Thailand

A British man reported as missing in Thailand ‘never made his flight home’, his worried family have said.
Joshua Kershaw’s family said the young man failed to make contact with them after arriving in Thailand, on Monday (January 12). The alarm was raised after the 21-year-old, from Grimsby, was scheduled to board his flight out of Bangkok on Sunday.
Joshua had been travelling alone at the time and is believed to have been in the popular tourist location Pattaya. His family has since issued an appeal for any information that could assist in finding him.
His family said they have contacted both local and border police in Thailand, as well as the British embassy in Bangkok. They are receiving updates from both the police and embassy staff, Yorkshire Live reports.
In a fresh update, Jenny Kershaw posted: “WE CAN NOW CONFIRM JOSHUA NEVER MADE HIS FLIGHT. MISSING PERSON – PLEASE SHARE.
“Joshua Kershaw (Sadler) is currently missing in Pattaya, Thailand. He has been missing since 12th January 2026. No contact has been made since he arrived at his hotel.

“Joshua was due to fly home on 19th January 2026 at 20:30 (Thai time) but did not board his flight and we have had no contact since. We can now confirm Joshua hasn’t boarded his flight police are doing more checks as we speak.
“Joshua has now been put as a high risk missing person from the UK Joshua is 6ft’2 medium build his Hair colour is mousey brown hair and brown eyes. He’s a British citizen.
“We are extremely worried about his safety & whereabouts. If anyone is in Pattaya, has seen Joshua, or has any information at all, please contact me immediately or pass this information on to the local authorities.
“Even the smallest detail could help. Please share this post to help bring Joshua home safely. Thank you.”
