West Ham look set to make Adama Traore their fourth signing of the winter transfer window.

Pablo, Taty Castellanos and Keiber Lamadrid have already joined West Ham, but they don’t seem to be satisfied in attack just yet.

Nuno Espirito Santo has chased Traore for a while, and it looks like he may finally get his man at the London Stadium.

So far, they had not made a breakthrough with Fulham over a deal, but that seems to have changed.

West Ham set for Adama Traore deal

West Ham’s attackers have hardly set the world alight this season, with the Irons ranking joint-fifth lowest scorers in the Premier League.

They look set to bolster their forward line again, as Italian journalist Matteo Moretto claimed on 23 January that Traore to the Hammers was now a done deal.

It looks as though Nuno has completed his quest to reunite with the former Wolves wizard in East London.

What will Traore bring to West Ham?

Traore is one of the fastest players in the division, and that is something that the E20 outfit have lacked this season, pace and directness.

He will allow Nuno’s side to counter-attack and play direct football, due to his ability to get down the byline at rapid speeds.

That is the main benefit to having him in the squad, but his strength is another, as he can hold off defenders and bring his teammates into play.

That could get more out of the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Castellanos and Pablo, and ultimately, help the Hammers to stay up, by getting more goals.

He has vast top-flight experience, with 14 goals and 27 assists in 262 appearances for Wolves, Fulham and Aston Villa, and also spent time with Barcelona in La Liga.

He has been struggling to get on the pitch at Craven Cottage this season, with 14 of his 15 league appearances coming from the bench and could just need a change in scenery to thrive again.

Adama enjoyed his best form under the current Irons boss in the Midlands, and maybe they can get the best out of each other once again, which would be a vital help to the East London side.
