Emergency services swarm Glasgow hotel after death of man and concern for a person

A large emergency services response has been spotted at a hotel in Glasgow, with guests reporting bookings have been cancelled.
As reported by our sister title the Glasgow Times, crews including police, ambulance and fire teams are currently stationed at the Kings Park Hotel.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11am on Sunday, 26 January, 2026, we received a report of the death of a man at a hotel in Mill Street, Rutherglen. The death is unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”

It’s understood the large emergency response is due to concern for a person at the scene.
The busy hotel is found on Mill Street in Rutherglen in the southside of the city, with social media users reporting that their reservations at the hotel have been cancelled.
