Snow moves into central NC on Saturday
6:30 a.m.: Wind chills are bringing feels-like temperatures into the teens, setting up the cold weather advisory that is in place for early Sunday morning. Wind gusts on Saturday are expected to reach up to 30 miles per hour, keeping the wind chills in the single-digits throughout the day.
5:30 a.m.: Models are now showing that dry air early on is cutting into the total amount we expect in the Triangle. This doesn’t necessarily mean *no* snow, but it likely means less than initially projected.
Raleigh could now see up to three inches.
4:30 a.m.: The live cameras from Roxboro and White Lake are picking up some flurries! Snow was falling heavier in Roxboro Friday night, and the camera as of early Saturday morning saw the ground covered with more snow than it had last night. The flurries aren’t as strong this morning, but it’s still falling.
