Canada’s Jarvis to replace injured Point at Olympics

Point exited a Jan. 12 game against the Philadelphia Flyers after suffering a lower-body injury while scoring a goal in the second period.
The 29-year-old has had a solid year for the Bolts, tallying 11 goals and 19 assists in 36 games.
Jarvis, 24, has 43 points (25 goals, 18 assists) in 48 games for Carolina Hurricanes this season. He was a member of Canada’s 4 Nations Face-Off team that defeated the United States in the tournament finals.
The Winnipeg native is the second replacement to be named to Team Canada after it was announced that Sam Bennett will replace injured Tampa Bay Lightning forward Anthony Cirelli on Tuesday.
