FBI Increases Reward & Offers New Details Of Suspect

Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, remains missing, and the FBI has increased its reward to help locate her.

As the search continues, the FBI also released new details of the suspected man seen on Nancy Guthrie’s security camera on the night of her disappearance.

“The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’9” – 5’10” tall, with an average build. In the video, he is wearing a black, 25-liter ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack,” reads the message from the FBI on Thursday.

The FBI had been offering a $50,000 reward for help in Guthrie’s disappearance. Today, the reward has increased to $100,000 for information leading to her location or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.

Earlier this week, a person was detained for questioning but that person was later released. Carlos Palazuelos told reporters, “I hope they get the suspect, because I am not it.” He is a delivery driver who was pulled over near his home south of Tucson. He said that he was questioned about his whereabouts and that he may have delivered a package to Guthrie’s house.

That same day, the FBI released images of a masked individual seen at Guthrie’s front door on the night she disappeared. She was last seen on the evening of January 31, when she was dropped off at her home. She was reported missing around noon the next day.

Savannah Guthrie took to Instagram to share a video with her mom and adding, “our lovely mom. we will never give up on her. thank you for your prayers and hope.”
