A look at the curling standings after Sunday’s play in Cortina

Another session of curling done in the women’s tournament at the Milan Cortina Olympics, and the same team is still at the top of the standings.

With a win over Great Britain on Sunday, Sweden improved to 5-0 and for the second straight day is still the only remaining unbeaten team in the field.

Sitting alone is second is Team USA. At 4-1, Tabitha Peterson’s team has now matched the U.S. women’s win totals from both the 2018 and 2022 Olympics. They’re also one win away from tying the most wins by any U.S. women’s team in a single Olympics. Team USA won five games at the 1998 Games.

Switzerland is sitting third at 3-1. Denmark and South Korea are tied for fourth at 3-2.

Sitting below the semifinals cutline are China (2-2) in sixth, Canada (1-3) and Great Britain (1-3), tied for seventh, Japan (1-4) in ninth, and Italy (0-5) in 10th.

There are six sessions of round-robin play remaining. After every team has played each other, the top four teams will move on to the semifinals, which will be played on Friday, Feb. 20, at 8:05 a.m. ET.
