‘Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ Averaging 13 Million Viewers

HBO and HBO Max programming can take an early victory lap, with both “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” and “The Pitt” Season 2 nabbing huge audiences.

Per HBO, “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” is averaging close to 13 million U.S. viewers per episode, with five of the first season’s six episodes available to date. That puts it on pace to be the third biggest series debut in the history of HBO Max.

The season finale is due to air on Feb. 22. Episode 5 of the show, “In the Name of the Mother,” has pulled in 9.2 million U.S. cross-platform viewers in its first three days of availability. HBO also says that three day viewership for each episode has grown week to week, excluding Episode 4, which aired early due to Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8.

Meanwhile, at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center, Season 2 of the critically-acclaimed medical drama is averaging approximately 12 million viewers per episode. That is 50% better than the show’s freshman season, with the show also seeing week-to-week growth.

“The Pitt” has aired six of its 15 episodes for Season 2 thus far, with Episode 7 dropping today. Episode 6 has drawn 7 million U.S. viewers in its first three days.

Elsewhere in the HBO lineup, Season 4 of “Industry” continues to do well. The sixth episode hit a new series high of 1.1 million viewers per episode in its first three days, with this season outpacing the prior three in terms of viewership. The first episode of the new HBO late-night series “Neighbors,” which premiered on Feb. 13, has tallied 2 million U.S. viewers since its debut.
