According to various reports, Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt might be broken up, be broken up and working on things — or they could not be broken up at all. The (former?) couple, who welcomed a baby last year, has been the subject of many conflicting rumors about their relationship status in the past few weeks. Let’s try and get to the bottom of this latest development in Davidson’s love life, shall we?
The Sun reported on Thursday that Davidson and Hewitt ended their relationship because Davidson’s work schedule took him away from Hewitt and their 5-month-old daughter, Scottie, too often. “Pete has been traveling so much for work,” a source told the outlet. “But Elsie was craving more support from him at home after their daughter was born.” The insider also said that this tension was apparently hard on Davidson because “obviously, he has to work to make money.”
At the same time, a source speaking to People said that while Davidson and Hewitt have split, they are still “working on things.” They added, “They want one another to succeed and be happy.” The source also noted that Davidson and Hewitt have broken up and gotten back together before, and they could get back together again now. In fact, just two weeks ago, People reported that the couple was working through some conflicts. “There are issues, but they’re trying to figure things out together,” a source said at the time. “They’re adjusting to parenthood and working through the process.” In other words, we may have to wait until Davidson’s next stand-up special to find out what’s going on.
