Winter Olympics 2026 live updates: Day 15 latest as US repeats aerials gold, Klaebo makes history, Eileen Gu and hockey

We’re a few sleds into the second run of 4-man bobsled and I’ve got a fun fact for you: one major difference for all the U.S. bobsledders at these Olympics is they’re racing in sleds made in the good, ol’ U.S. of A.
Everyone on the team has raved about Marc van den Berg, their technical and equipment lead who’s been building sleds for Team USA for a few years now. Pilot Frank Del Duca says the sled is “a joy to drive” and has called Van den Berg, who has a background as a race car mechanic, “a wizard with speed … he always finds out how to make things faster within the rules.”
Del Duca also loves that finally, the USA sled is entirely made in the U.S. He said:
💬 “Our tech partners (are) two family-owned companies based in the United States who put their pride and all of their expertise into helping us.
“For us, as U.S. athletes, to know we’re jumping in a sled that’s made in America, by small businesses — which, in my opinion, are the backbone of our country — I feel a sense of immense pride and support jumping into that sled.”
