Reports: Bills set to acquire wide receiver D.J. Moore from Bears

A much-needed addition is coming to the Buffalo Bills wide-receiver group.
The Bills are set to acquire D.J. Moore from the Chicago Bears in exchange for a mid-round draft picks, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Thursday.
Moore, 28, hauled in 50 catches for 682 yards and six touchdowns with Chicago last season before adding 11 grabs for 116 yards and two more scores in the playoffs.
The regular-season numbers both would have slotted Moore second on a Buffalo team that saw a steep drop-off in receiver depth after No. 1 Khalil Shakir.
Moore was originally selected as a first-round pick of the Carolina Panthers in 2018.
He was traded to the Bears in 2023 along with two first-round picks and two second-round picks for the No. 1 choice in that year’s draft, which the Panthers used to select quarterback Bryce Young.
Chicago wound up with the No. 1 pick the following year as a result of the trade, and took QB Caleb Williams.
The Bills are looking to get back on top of the AFC East after their streak of five straight division wins was ended by the New England Patriots last season.
Earlier this off-season, Buffalo fired head coach Sean McDermott and promoted offensive co-ordinator Joe Brady to the position.
