Who is the March 7 SNL Host and Musical Guest?
Ryan Gosling.
The actor will be joined by the longtime genre-crossing animated band Gorillaz, who make their debut as SNL Musical Guests. (It’s been a long time coming — the Damon Albarn-fronted band has been a force in the music world for 25 years and counting.)
Gosling, the three-time Academy Award nominee and producer and star of the upcoming film Project Hail Mary, will look to build on an already-impressive SNL resume with several viral sketches under his belt, from the “Papyrus” sketches to “Santa Baby,” “Close Encounter,” and of course Season 49’s Beavis and Butt-head sketch.

Gosling has already touched base with a certain pal in the Season 51 cast ahead of his episode.
On February 14, Gosling’s wife, actress Eva Mendes, shared a hilarious video chat between Gosling and Mikey Day that felt so SNL-like that it would’ve felt right at home in tonight’s episode.
