Minecraft reveals Chaos Cubed game drop and confirms Minecraft Dungeons 2

Minecraft Live delivered a stacked set of reveals, with Mojang spotlighting the upcoming Chaos Cubed game drop and confirming that Minecraft Dungeons 2 is on the way.
Alongside updates like Tiny Takeover and real-world experiences, the March 21 showcase focused on what’s next for the core game and its spin-offs, with Chaos Cubed introducing new mechanics and Dungeons 2 marking the return of the action RPG series.

At the center of the update is the sulfur cube, a new block that changes its physics properties depending on what materials it absorbs. Players can feed the cube directly or let it interact with nearby elements, resulting in different behaviors that open up new ways to build and experiment.
The block will be found in sulfur caves, a new type of cave that can generate across multiple Overworld biomes. These areas include sulfur pools, new environmental effects, and additional materials like sulfur and cinnabar, which come in several block variants.

Minecraft Dungeons 2 confirmed with 2026 release window
Mojang also confirmed that Minecraft Dungeons 2 is in development, with the next chapter of the spin-off series set to launch in fall 2026.
While details remain limited for now, the game will be available to wishlist starting March 21, marking the first official step toward its release.
The original Minecraft Dungeons launched in 2020 as a dungeon-crawling action RPG set in the Minecraft universe, and the sequel is expected to build on that formula with new content and systems.
