MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – One person is dead and two others are injured following a triple shooting overnight, according to the Montgomery Police Department.
Police responded to the 3400 block of South Water Mill Road around 12:35 a.m. on reports of multiple shooting victims but confirmed all three victims had left the scene before officers arrived.
A short time later, a man and two women showed up at an area hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the women was in life-threatening condition upon arrival. She later died from her injuries.
An initial investigation indicates the shooting stemmed from a domestic-related altercation, MPD investigators said.
