Planned Hydro-Québec outage in Vaudreuil

Thousands of residents in Vaudreuil-Dorion will be without electricity overnight Saturday as Hydro-Québec carries out major work at a local substation.
The utility says the planned interruption will begin at 10:30 p.m. on March 28 and is expected to last until 7:30 a.m. Sunday. The work will take place at the Dorion substation and is being conducted entirely under Hydro-Québec’s responsibility.
Electricity service will not return all at once, the Crown corporation noted, with restoration expected to occur gradually throughout Sunday morning.
Hydro-Québec is urging residents to verify whether their homes are affected by consulting its “Info-pannes” outage tracking tool. Customers can also register their address to receive real-time updates on the situation.
The planned shutdown is part of ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the reliability of the region’s electrical infrastructure.
