Lakers vs. Thunder: Live updates, highlights for Thursday’s game

The Oklahoma City Thunder will host the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday. This will be the third matchup of the season between the two squads. OKC won the first two games with its latest victory on Feb. 9.
The Thunder (60-16) avoided catastrophe with a 114-110 overtime win over the Detroit Pistons on Monday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a Superman-esque 47 points and went 21-of-25 on free throws.
Meanwhile, the Lakers (50-26) have won four in a row. They’re red-hot and firmly in third place. They had a 127-113 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tues

Just an absolute blowout. The Thunder added to their lead despite the pace slowing down. Only real downside has been Dort’s scary fall and injury. He at least walked to the locker room under his own power. But pretty dangerous play nonetheless.
An unreal halftime score. The Thunder were by far the best team from the jump. Gilgeous-Alexander already has 21 points. Dort has 14 points. Williams has 10 points and six assists. OKC is shooting 60% from the field. Lakers have 11 turnovers. Let’s see what the second half looks like.
Doncic loses the ball as it goes out of bounds. Gilgeous-Alexander goes right at the rim without any problem for the layup. Lakers call a timeout. This is a beatdown.
Ummm. Wow. Just pure domination from the Thunder. They created a turnover every other possession and swished in a 3-pointer every other possession. Gilgeous-Alexander has eight points and four assists. Dort has 14 points with four outside makes. Unreal opening frame.
Another turnover for the Lakers. Another 3-pointer for Dort. Redick finally calls a mercy timeout. Los Angeles has one made field goal and eight turnovers.
The Thunder will start Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Lu Dort, Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein. The Lakers will start Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, LeBron James, Jake LaRavia and Deandre Ayton.
