CM Punk Brings Back Iconic Theme Song at WWE WrestleMania 42

CM Punk brought back his iconic theme song at WWE WrestleMania 42.

After weeks of build-up and rising tensions, CM Punk finally walked into WWE WrestleMania 42 to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns. His entrance began with a video package showing him sitting atop Allegiant Stadium.

He then had a nostalgic throwback moment as AFI’s “Miseria Cantare” played, with a montage of pictures from his indie days and early WWE career flashing on the screen. Punk then walked to the stage as the song faded, and a few moments of silence passed before Punk’s normal theme song, “Cult of Personality,” cued up.

CM Punk used “Miseria Cantare” as his theme song in Ring of Honor and also brought it back at AEW Revolution 2022 for his match against MJF. He had teased bringing back the song for WrestleMania earlier this month, and the Best in the World followed through at the PLE tonight.

Besides bringing back his ROH theme song, CM Punk also paid tribute to late WWE employees Kerwin Silfies, Jim Shank, and Davey Coates by having their names on his jacket. He also paid tribute to his late friend Bo Leuders and his dog Larry on his jacket.

The main event is currently underway, and Roman Reigns seems to have the advantage after CM Punk got busted open.
