What Ja’Kobi Lane draft pick for Ravens means for Rashod Bateman, WR depth chart

The Baltimore Ravens have gotten Lamar Jackson a new weapon.

With the No. 80 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft on Friday night in the third round, the Ravens drafted USC wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane.

He’s a talented player who could’ve gone higher up the board.

It’ll be fascinating to see how he helps Jackson, Zay Flowers and company.

What Ja’Kobi Lane pick means for Ravens’ WR depth chart, Rashod Bateman

Lane is a huge target and could take Bateman’s job.

He’s 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds — that’s a perfect combo with the smaller Flowers.

Lane is originally from Mesa, Arizona before going to USC.

In 2025, Lane had 49 catches for 745 yards and four touchdowns. He seems like he could step in for Bateman in the next year or two.

Lane even ran the 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds. And he leaped the vertical jump for 40 inches.

This is a big, athletic dude. Bateman better watch out.
