Blue Jays trade Eric Lauer to Dodgers

Toronto will receive a player to be named later or cash considerations in return.
Lauer, 30, struggled in his second season with the Blue Jays, posting a 6.69 ERA over 36.1 innings after proving to be a key piece of Toronto’s staff during its division-winning 2025 campaign.
He last pitched for the Blue Jays on May 10, entering against the Los Angeles Angels behind Spencer Miles and Tommy Nance. He allowed six runs over five innings in what ended as a 6-1 loss.
In 2025, Lauer recorded a 3.18 ERA and a 9-2 record over 104.2 innings for Toronto.
He will now join a Dodgers team that has also been hit hard by pitching injuries in both the rotation and bullpen.
