Thunder’s Jalen Williams won’t play Game 4 of West Finals vs. Spurs

OKC ruled out the fourth-year guard with a hamstring injury ahead of Game 4 against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday (8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, Sportsnet ONE, Sportsnet+).
It’ll mark Williams’ second consecutive absence after he re-aggravated the injury in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. The 25-year-old previously missed six straight playoff games due to lingering hamstring injuries.
Williams was limited to just 33 regular-season appearances amid other ailments, first missing time while recovering from off-season wrist surgery before a myriad of lower-body problems. He ended up averaging 17.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.5 assists, which was his lowest scoring mark since his rookie season.
In the playoffs, Williams is averaging 17.8 points, four rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.3 steals through four games.
Williams joins guard Ajay Mitchell on OKC’s bench, as the sophomore guard was previously ruled out due to a calf injury.
The defending champion Thunder enter Game 4 with a 2-1 series lead over the Spurs.
