Concert-goers at Rogers Stadium will be able to head home on the subway for free at select stations on Line 1 after shows at the North York venue all summer.

Mayor Olivia Chow announced Thursday the program would be returning this year ahead of a series of Bruno Mars concerts happening this weekend and next. Fans can ride for free if they show their concert ticket to TTC staff.

“There’s no question transit will be the fastest, easiest, most affordable way to go — and the more concert-goers who get that message and pick transit, the less congested our roads will be.” Chow said at a news conference.

Live Nation is sponsoring free service from Shepherd West Station, Downsview Park and Wilson Station following Rogers Stadium shows, starting 30 minutes before each show ends.

The TTC is also adding more subway service to bring crowds home, alongside additional staff to help crowds move smoothly, Chow said.

Other acts playing at Rogers Stadium this summer include Post Malone, BTS, Foo Fighters and Guns N’ Roses.
