Chloe Lewis has released a statement following the shock death of her ex and former The Only Way Is Essex cast mate, Jake Hall

Chloe Lewis has shared her heartbreak at the new of Jake Hall’s death aged 35. The duo had previously dated, with Jake joining TOWIE as her partner.
Jake sadly died following an incident on holiday in Mallorca at the beginning of the month. He was killed after smashing into a glass door and suffering an injury to his head, according to reports, with the tragic incident happening after the star had been out partying with friends.
Now, weeks after the tragedy, Chloe has broken her silence on the loss, sharing a devastating message on social media. Alongside a clip of her late ex, filled with pictures and clips from their 10-year romance, she penned a lengthy Instagram caption.
She wrote: “My first love, my childhood sweetheart. A love that taught me so much about life and myself, and even more so now your presence is no longer here. A complete pain in the a**e most of the time, but always with the purest heart and the greatest soul. You touched so many lives and meant well in everything you did.

“I knew who you were… and I know what you wanted from life… a happy home and a loving family. Being the best dad was the most important thing to you & we always use to speak about it. You did that, Jake, with pride and made it look so easy and effortless. Like I knew you would.
“We met at the age of 16, when you stalked me in a bar and ended up coming out with my sister and Danny for the night. You looked like you had stepped straight out of a Ralph Lauren catalogue in your shirt, sleeves rolled up, with a red sweatshirt tied over your shoulders like a little Spanish boy. I remember thinking, How am I stuck with this guy for the night? But somehow, you danced with me all night and we belly-laughed until the early hours. You made me feel like I was the most wonderful person you had ever met. From that day on, we were inseparable, and you became my best friend.
“Navigating our young years and being thrown into a reality TV show, being in the public eye wasn’t really what we wanted, but it all just happened so quickly & it took over our relationship. It was a huge struggle for me & mentally hurt us both. We had our ups and downs, but we always knew how to come back to each other… until it was all too late. Life got in the way, and we separated after spending 10 years together. We didn’t love wrong, we just didn’t know how to hold on to it.
“You loved music the way it should be loved, and the words to so many songs mean so much more now. I’ll never forget the moment you sang Ordinary People to me for the first time, and it will forever be our song. Sitting at your laptop, smiling at me while singing, ‘Girl, I’m in love with you…’ with your cheeky smile and love in your eyes. The best kind of Jake.”

Touching on their last meeting, she revealed that she urged Jake to “take care of himself”, while describing the weeks after his death as “surreal”.
“You were a pest and drove the people who cared about you crazy, but we loved you, and I wouldn’t have changed you for the world,” Chloe continued. “The last few weeks have felt very surreal, and I still don’t really know how to process you being gone. I last saw you in February 14th when I told you to take care of yourself. But you never listened, did you? You always did it your way.
“You were such a massive and special part of my life, and I truly hoped that we would grow old, that I’d see you one day, happy and at peace with life. We’d smile at each other and be grateful that life had been good to us. But now I know that God had better plans for you.
“Heartache echoes through the world for you Jake. I’ve never seen so many people pour their love out for one person. I wish you could see it all — to realise just how deeply you were loved. I hope you can now, and that your mind is finally peaceful [sic].”
“You’ll be in my thoughts forever, and I’m sorry I couldn’t have saved you,” she concluded the post. “‘The world feels quieter since you’ve been gone, like somehow all the music is all wrong.’ I hope it’s peaceful up there, and I really hope that one day I get to see you again. Keep shining like you always do. Stay Magic. Que Sera, Sera, Jakey. All my love Always.”

The exes were once one of the ITV show’s most explosive couples. Their relationship was full of cheating allegations, emotional rows and dramatic break-ups, as their drama played out in front of millions of viewers.
Jake first burst onto TOWIE in 2015 during series 14 as the ex-boyfriend of Chloe. He was also a friend of Vas J Morgan. But it was Jake’s antics that made the headlines, and despite his links with Chloe, he was accused of cheating on her during a night out.
Following his split from Chloe, Jake began dating Real Housewives of Cheshire star Missé Beqiri. The pair became engaged and also welcomed a daughter, River, in November 2017.
However, in December 2018, Jake was given a restraining order preventing him from contacting Missé for 28 days, although the pair later reconciled before quietly splitting in 2021.
Misse released a statement following his death. In a comment shared with the Mirror, her representatives said: “At this time, Misse’s focus is on supporting and protecting their child as they come to terms with this devastating loss. The family are asking for privacy, compassion and respect while they grieve privately.”
News of Hall’s death broke earlier this month, and came during his holiday to Majorca. Multiple reports stated that that his body was found in a pool of blood in the holiday villa. Officers were called to the scene and later questioned four men and two women who were also staying at the address.
“We are focusing on the theory the victim died in a tragic accident after hitting his head against the glass door but it is still too early to say definitely what happened,” a police source said.
