EAGAN, Minn. — A two-time Super Bowl-winning executive is the new Vikings General Manager.
Minnesota on Monday named Nolan Teasley its new GM, ending a thorough, multiweek search process that began shortly after the 2026 NFL Draft and was led by the Vikings ownership group.
Teasley has worked the past 13 seasons with the Seahawks, helping Seattle make the playoffs nine times during his tenure with the team.
“Nolan brings tremendous football acumen and a proven track record of success from the past 13 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks,” said Vikings Owner/President Mark Wilf. “Under the tutelage of General Manager John Schneider, he was a part of nine playoff teams, three Super Bowl appearances and two championships. He has a strong understanding of talent evaluation at the collegiate and professional levels, significant experience with building a consistently competitive roster through the draft, free agency and trades, and he brings a disciplined, process-driven approach to the job. Putting Nolan together with [Vikings Head Coach] Kevin O’Connell and [Executive Vice President of Football Operations] Rob Brzezinski gives us three strong leaders with complementary skillsets.”
Vikings Owner/Chairman Zygi Wilf said Teasley’s “wide range of experience in football operations” was evident from discussions with Teasley and people around the league and impressed the Vikings.
“Nolan understands schematics and player traits at a high level, and that knowledge earns him credibility with each coaching staff he’s been around,” Zygi Wilf added. “As an assistant general manager, he was involved in every aspect of the operation, so he knows what is required to build a championship team and a productive environment. We are confident this dynamic structure of Nolan, Kevin and Rob is the best outcome for the Minnesota Vikings.”
Teasley embodied key roles in building the Seattle roster that defeated New England 29-13 in Super Bowl LX.
Less than four months later, the native of Ellensburg, Washington, is excited about the new opportunity in Minnesota.

Teasley will join forces with O’Connell and Brzezinski, who was tabbed by Vikings owners to lead the personnel department and coaching staff through the 2026 offseason following Minnesota’s decision to part ways with former GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah on Jan. 31 after four seasons.
O’Connell described Teasley as a “strong leader with great vision for building and sustaining a winning football team.”
“He carries himself with humility but can confidently articulate the impressive depth of his football knowledge. We share a belief in the importance of culture, consensus-building, and putting people in positions to become the best versions of themselves,” O’Connell said. “I look forward to working alongside Nolan and Rob as we continue building on the foundation we’ve established and strive to achieve our goal of bringing a Super Bowl to Vikings fans.”
Brzezinski will be heading into his 28th season with the Vikings after receiving credit from O’Connell for his leadership and consensus building during the offseason.
“This organization means so much to me and my family, and I take tremendous pride in being a part of the Minnesota Vikings,” Brzezinski said. “I have a great deal of respect for Nolan and look forward to partnering with him, Kevin and our entire football operation to build the best team possible. I will continue to do everything I can to help this organization achieve its ultimate goal of bringing a championship to Minnesota.”
Teasley spent the past three seasons as Seahawks Assistant General Manager and more than a decade in total in Seattle’s front office, first joining them in 2013 as a scouting intern. Teasley served as the Director of Pro Personnel for five seasons (2018-22) after being the assistant director of pro personnel in 2017 and working as a pro personnel scout for three seasons before that (2014-16).
Teasley graduated from Central Washington in 2007 with a degree in public relations after playing running back for the Wildcats.
NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero broke the news on X Saturday and noted Teasley’s climb through the NFL began in 2013 after he had sent letters to all 32 teams. Seattle was the lone club to offer Teasley a scouting internship, helping him transition from a marketing job.
