1. Mushroom and Bamboo farming
One way to make big cash that I’ve used countless times so far is via two specific seeds and some Sprinklers. If you’ve been on Grow A Garden 2 since day one, you may have heard some players refer to Bamboo as the “money Seed.” They’re completely right, and what’s more, it has a slightly pricier but equally as lucrative partner in the Mushroom Seed.

The reason both of these Seeds are such useful grabs are because they’re cheap, usually available in an average stock rotation, grow quickly and are easy to make big and heavy, netting you a huge amount of cash. My highest net total was somewhere around 250,000 Sheckles for one batch, albeit a particularly big one.
To make this a consistent profit driver, go to the Gear shop and buy some Sprinklers. There’s a variety of Sprinkler options ranging from Common to Super, so buy any you can afford. Next, buy Mushroom Seeds and Bamboo Seeds. Ideally, we want to sit for a few shop cycles and rinse out the store for as many as we can.
Now, find a patch in your garden, chuck down several Sprinklers, making sure their radius’ overlap, then throw all the Bamboo and Mushroom Seeds into one area. It doesn’t matter if they overlap and clip into each other, as long as they’re within that overlapping radius. It’ll result in towering Bamboo and Mushrooms that you can sell for fat stacks of cash.

An extra tip from Callum
It’s worth noting that this method works extremely well with the Daily Deal bargain tip later down the page. I made 600k off a pretty average Bamboo haul when first testing it out. Definitely try combining them to fill your bank fast.
2. Big crop exploit
Building off of the last technique, there’s an exploit that many players are swearing by in Grow A Garden 2 that’s well worth testing out, even if it can be a little hit or miss. As we mentioned in the above method, Sprinklers will make plants grow bigger, but they only last for a limited amount of time. However, the Sprinkler timer will not deplete when you’re offline. This means you can generate bigger crops by making use of that extended window.
You want this type of placement, where it can overlap several plants simultaneously. | Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun / Strawberreh Squad
First, use Trowel Gears to move your best plants so they’re all as close together as possible. You can literally make them clip into each other, forming a massive column, to get the best results, but it might take a good amount of Trowels to set up. Next, chuck down all the Sprinklers you can afford, making sure to fit as many plants as possible into the overlap of their radius’.
Once the Sprinklers are set, quickly harvest all the available crops from these plants. When they’re picked clean, exit the game as quickly as possible.

Wait a good 30 – 40 minutes or so, then launch Grow A Garden 2 again. When you return, you should find all the crops that would’ve grown on your trees in that time range are bigger, fetching high prices at the store. As I said earlier though, this tactic isn’t a surefire path to riches. Through testing, I’ve occasionally come back to find slightly bigger, but not gigantic fruits. However, when it works as intended, the payout can be huge.
3. Mutation farming
If you want fruits and veg that are gonna skyrocket in worth, you’ll need Mutations, and there are a few ways to really maximise your potential to cash in on them. For one, it’s worth noting that Mutations don’t stack, and considering some Mutations make your crops sell for more than others, that means you’ll want to monitor your garden to make sure you’re always selling Mutated crops as quickly as possible so a new crop can grow in its place and get Mutated as well.

If you spot the Bloodmoon and Starfall weather events specifically, make sure you’re selling all of your mutated crops as quickly as possible, as any crops afflicted with the respective Bloodlit (x60%) or Starstruck (x50%) Mutations inflicted during these events will sell for astronomically more than they would generally. Electric fruits are also a worthwhile way to raise funds.
You can actually go ahead and combine this strategy with the plants you grew in the big crop exploit and Bamboo and Mushroom farming tips for maximum cash.
4. Cash in your Daily Deal bargain with the Seed merchant
Once a day, you’ll get the opportunity to complete a ‘Daily Deal‘ bargain with the Sell Vendor in the centre of the map. To access it, hit the ‘Bargain!’ option you see in his menu.

Usually, the seller will offer you a slight uptick on what he would’ve initially offered. However, every day, he’ll offer you a ‘Daily Deal’ which vastly raises his offer. So, if you’re bringing in giant fruit tinged with hefty multipliers, make sure you maximise the returns on your best harvest by bargaining to hit the highest cash total possible.
5. Get your friends in the server

A simple but effective method. For every mate you get in your server, you’ll earn a 10% increase on every item you sell. In other words, if you have 8 friends in a server with you, you’ll be able to sell any item for 80% extra. That’s a ludicrous boost, and it’s mutually beneficial, considering your friends will also benefit from the mark-up in selling prices.
6. Use Pet abilities for cash growth
There are three pets in Grow A Garden 2 that will drum up huge cash if you use their skills wisely. The Deer made it high up our pet tier list due to the fact it gives you +10 plant growth, which, when stacked by having multiple Deer in your party, will make plants grow faster and thus result in more yield.

Meanwhile, the Golden Dragon Fly will double your chances of spawning Golden crops, and the Unicorn will double your chances of spawning Rainbow crops. Both are hugely useful perks, though the latter two pets carry a high price tag as a result. Using them to their full potential is probably going to be for those already well on their way to billionaire status rather than a farmer still tending to their start-up.
7. Get Rainbow and Gold Seeds
This one’s something to keep in the background while using the other methods listed here, but Rainbow and Gold Seeds should absolutely be your priority if you want to increase cash. During the Rainbow Moon and Gold Moon night events, which happen randomly and are indicated by the sky filling with either a rainbow or gold aura, you’ll sometimes get notifications telling you that a Rainbow or Gold Seed has spawned. It’ll then appear in a random spot on the map, and you can pick them up to add them to your inventory.

These Seeds are incredibly valuable, as planting them gives you a random Rainbow or Gold plant that generates a higher output of Rainbow and Gold crops you can turn in for big cash.

An extra tip from Callum
In my experience, both these seed types cause World War 3 to break out when they spawn in a normal server. To make sure you get them when they spawn, create a private server to avoid rival player intervention, then purchase and equip three or more of the Bunny pet to increase your speed. Now, wait for either Moon event to happen. When it does, use the speed boost to find and claim all the seeds that drop, then plant them in your garden.
