Alison Hammond has posed a poignant question to those who doubt certain weight loss approaches.

The presenter, famous for her roles on ITV’s This Morning and The Great British Bake Off, has opened up about how her remarkable 13 and a half stone weight loss has been overshadowed by a contemporary dieting phenomenon that “keeps getting brought up”.

Previously tipping the scales at 30 stone, the television personality has slashed her weight to roughly 16 and a half stone. Alison had earlier disclosed that she embarked on her wellness journey following a concerning pre-diabetic medical evaluation.

With assistance from a fitness professional, Alison claims she accomplished this transformation without resorting to restrictive eating plans, reports the Mirror.

Instead, she doesn’t “deny” herself anything and informed Heat magazine that she concentrated on consuming food in “moderation”.

Nevertheless, it appears Alison’s dedication has faced “persistent questions” from individuals eager to discover whether she’s utilised weight loss injections.

She allegedly informed the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden at the Women of the Year awards: “It worries me that the jab keeps getting brought up. Every single time I have a conversation in public, that is the question thrown at me.”

When questioned about using such trendy methods, Alison responded with a firm “absolutely not”.

She emphasised that she’s “not a follower” of others’ choices and only pursues what’s necessary for her own wellbeing. Nevertheless, Alison hasn’t dismissed the possibility of using such medications.

She even addressed the apparent stigma surrounding weight-loss injections with her forthright opinion.

She declared: “I don’t like the fact that you have to say: ‘Oh, no, I wouldn’t have the jab ever’. Maybe next year. Do you know what? I might start jabbing up. What does it matter how people lose weight.”

In a powerful closing statement, Alison challenged any potential critics with a stark question: “Would you rather me die from being obese?”.

However, it seems Alison’s weight loss journey extends beyond dietary changes, as she’s revealed she works with a personal trainer and takes walks when she’s unable to exercise properly.

Discussing her eating habits previously, she revealed: “I just try and live healthily and drink lots of water, and the weight loss will come. If I lose one or two stone, it’s not going to be obvious to anybody, but I’ll feel better in myself.”

Alison’s supporters have flooded social media with compliments about her transformation. One fan gushed: “Wow did not even recognise you Alison you look fantastic.”

Another chimed in: “You look amazing and love watching you on TV, such a breath of fresh air.”

Regarding tackling obesity through diet, the NHS recommends most individuals reduce their daily energy consumption by 600 calories. This approach enables a safe and sustainable weight reduction of 0.5 to 1kg weekly.

This implies that the majority of men should limit their intake to no more than 1,900 calories per day, while women should aim for no more than 1,400 calories.
