After many months of speculation, the BBC and Netflix recently confirmed that the upcoming feature film, The Immortal Man, which recently wrapped production, would not be the end of Peaky Blinders. Creator Steven Knight’s iconic period drama will officially return with a sequel series, with Cillian Murphyjustconfirmed as executive producer for now, and the cast being kept tightly under wraps. A synopsis for the sequel series reads:
“Britain, 1953. After being heavily bombed in WWII, Birmingham is building a better future out of concrete and steel. In a new era of Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders, the race to own Birmingham’s massive reconstruction project becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions.
