Jackson McVey vs. Zach Reese

Round 1 – Reese comes out firing strikes. McVey answers with a Thai clinch and lands a couple of hard elbows. Now they’re trading very hard shots in close! McVey is being very aggressive here with the clinch, and it appears to be working. More elbows from McVey land, and Reese is cut open over his eye. McVey adds knees now, and down goes Reese! McVey keeps the swarm going, but Reese gets back to his feet. McVey keeps the clinch and lands more elbows. Reese finally manages to get off the fence to slow things down. McVey strikes his way into another clinch, and drills Reese with a low knee, pausing the action. That cut over Reese’s eye is nasty. We’re back to the fight after 2:29, according to the on-screen timer. McVey picks up right where he left off with the Thai clinch. Once again, they trade heavy strikes in close. This time, Reese gets out of it quicker and gets a takedown after the reset. Reese passes to side control, immediately looking for a kimura. Reese now looks for a reverse triangle, but it’s not there. 10-9 McVey.

Round 2 – They waste no time getting back into exchanges. Reese gets a quick takedown, though. Reese finds the back and slaps on a rear-naked choke. There’s the tap! Gritty win for Reese on short notice!
