LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Authorities say a woman was found fatally shot in a car after crashing in south Las Vegas Sunday morning.
The collision was initially reported just after 5:20 a.m. in the 7500 block of Dean Martin Drive, south of Warm Springs Road, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
Officers arrived and learned medical personnel were responding to a woman suffering from a gunshot wound after a car hit a street sign. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives learned the woman was driving before the crash, but no further details were disclosed.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the woman’s name and official rulings on the cause and manner of death.
