3-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion officially confirms Survivor Series will be his last

The hype around WWE Survivor Series: WarGames is unreal. As the show fast approaches, the reality is starting to kick in that it will be John Cena’s last match on a premium live event.

The former three-time World Heavyweight Champion and fourteen-time WWE Champion has just sent a final message before the marquee show.

Thanks for the submission!

John Cena’s tail end run has seen its fair share of ups and downs, with him channeling his babyface side once again being one of the highlights of his farewell tour.

He took his character a step further by knocking the heat magnet Dominik Mysterio off his perch and capturing the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career.

The two men will now run it back at Survivor Series: WarGames in San Diego, which happens to be “Dirty” Dom’s hometown.

Earlier today, John Cena took to his X (formerly Twitter) to remind everyone that he has only two in-ring appearances left, with Survivor Series being the last premium live event of his storied career.

“✌in-ring events left! The Last Time is Now!! What a stage @PetcoPark will be for the LAST PLE of my @WWE career! Don’t miss #SurvivorSeries TOMORROW NIGHT LIVE on @espn app & @netflix internationally.”

Who will be John Cena’s final WWE opponent?

The Cenation Leader is slated to end his in-ring career at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.

John Cena’s last-ever opponent is no longer a mystery, as the winner of the ongoing Last Time is Now Tournament will get the opportunity to face The Never Seen 17.

Since his return, Gunther has emerged as a frontrunner to win the whole thing. He has defeated the likes of Je’Von Evans and Carmelo Hayes.

But injuries to Penta and Sheamus may force Triple H to make a creative pivot.

The remaining quarterfinal matches will take place during the go-home episode of SmackDown before Survivor Series: WarGames.

Jey Uso will face Rusev, while LA Knight will once again face a mystery opponent. Fans must tune in tonight to find out which WWE Superstar secures a semifinal berth.
