How much snow did we get? See the latest Iowa totals from the winter storm

A post-Thanksgiving snow storm is blanketing much of the Midwest, including most of Iowa.

Large portions of the state saw several inches of snow throughout Saturday, Nov. 29.

Where were the highest snowfall totals in Iowa?

Here are the areas across the state with the highest snowfall through noon Sunday, Nov. 30.

  • Fort Dodge: 16.5 inches
  • Callender: 15.5 inches
  • Jesup: 14.8 inches
  • Cedar Falls: 14.5 inches
  • Aplington: 14.2 inches
  • Ackley: 13.5 inches
  • Aurora: 13.5 inches

How much snow did Des Moines get?

Central Iowa generally had around 7 to 12 inches of snow through noon Sunday, Nov. 30, according to Weather.gov. It comes as the area remained under a winter storm warning until Sunday morning.

  • Johnston: 11 inches
  • Des Moines International Airport: 10.9 inches
  • Norwalk: 10 inches
  • Saylorville: 9 inches
  • Polk City: 7.1 inches
  • Altoona: 7 inches
  • Pleasant Hill: 7 inches
  • Urbandale: 7 inches
  • West Des Moines: 7 inches
