Pa.’s favorite Christmas song ‘is a true holiday classic’

Certain Christmas music truly brings the holly-jolly to the holiday.
And in Pennsylvania, there’s one Christmas song ringing throughout the halls more than any other.
According to FinanceBuzz, Pennsylvania’s number one Christmas song is “Jingle Bells,” which the report calls “a true holiday classic.”
Six other states joined the Keystone State by listing the jingly-jangly tune as their top favorite. This saw the song tie for second place with “Santa Baby,” as originally performed by Eartha Kitt.
Number one nationwide, however, was — which some of. you probably already guessed — “All I Want for Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey.
“Since its release in 1994, Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ has quickly become a modern classic and holiday staple, a must-have for any holiday playlist or radio station playing season tunes,” the report reads. “At times, it can feel like this has become the Christmas song, one that is inescapable from the minute that Halloween costumes are put away and the calendar ticks over to November.
“Given how ubiquitous and popular this song is during the holiday season as a whole, it isn’t surprising to see it take the top spot in nine different states, more than any other Christmas song last year.”
Oddly enough, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” was found to be the most “annoying” holiday song of the season, too. Probably for getting way too much airtime.
Oklahomans seem to prefer “Run Rudolph Run” as their top yuletide tune. Tennessee residents have “Blue Christmas” as their top spot while Utah gravitates more toward “White Christmas.”
