Firefighters rushed to the Trafford Centre as a fire engulfed a car and spread to others in a packed car park
The drama unfolded at around 6.45pm this evening (Saturday, November 8).
A fire broke out which engulfed one car in the car park near John Lewis.
The flames then spread to two neighbouring cars.

Pictures from the scene showed bright orange flames lapping up above the vehicles, close to a Christmas tree illumination, as smoke billowed across the car park and stunned shoppers looked on.
An eyewitness said the car park was ‘locked off’ as both fire crews and paramedics responded.

Two fire engines attended the scene and extinguished the flames, the fire service have confirmed.
No one was injured.
All three vehicles were petrol vehicles, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) confirmed.
The cause of the original fire is not yet known, but it is not being treated as suspicious or deliberate.

The GMFRS spokesperson said: “Shortly after 6.45pm this evening (Saturday 8 November), two fire engines from Sale and Salford fire stations were called to attend a fire involving three vehicles in a car park at the Trafford Centre.
“Crews arrived quickly and used breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish the fire.
“Firefighters remain in attendance.”
