The Last of Us Co-Director Will Reveal His Next ‘Creatively Charged’ Title at The Game Awards

Bruce Straley spent decades at dev Naughty Dog, where he’s credited as the co-game director on a variety of hit titles, like Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, The Last of Us, and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
That’s not a bad resume, eh?
But after getting burnt out on AAA game development, he left the Sony first-party in 2017 and founded Wildflower in 2022, where he said he’s working on a game “unlike any you’ve played before”.
That project will be officially revealed at The Game Awards later this week, as confirmed by host Geoff Keighley on X (or Twitter).

We still don’t know much about the release, but a short 30-second teaser shared on social media shows a painterly forest-like scene. A bird flies away after a larger creature can be heard shuffling around off-screen.
The dev’s website notes it’s working on “small-ish, creatively-charged, uniquely-stylised games that explore the possibilities of our medium”.
This should be one to keep an eye on, then. If you’re not sure when to watch The Game Awards, you can find all of the appropriate information through the link.
