Listen to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s emotional first call after post-Vienna Eras Tour return

Travis Kelce may not have appeared onscreen in the first two episodes of Taylor Swift’s new “End of an Era” docuseries, but he still played an important role.

One sweet scene shows the Kansas City Chiefs tight end giving his now-fiancée a pep talk over the phone ahead of her first Eras Tour show in London.

“How are you guys so good? You can just do a little like in the back room rehearsal and then go do this live in front of everyone,” Kelce could be heard saying over the phone as she was driven to Wembley Stadium.

As a response, Swift gushes over how much she loves her boyfriend, adding, “How do you remember 36,000 plays that are all tactical missions and then just go do it? It’s the same. It’s basically the same job. I’ve got songs to remember, you’ve got plays to remember.”

After bonding over the fact that they both have teammates and loved ones who keep them focused on their jobs, Kelce said he wished he were by her side.

“I want you to be here. Why do you have to be in the NFL?” she playfully said.

As they wrapped up their phone conversation, Kelce could be heard telling Swift, “I love you so much, babe. Thanks for making my life better.”

“I love you so much. I know, some people get a vitamin drip, I get this conversation,” Swift quipped in response about the energizing chat.

In late July 2024, a 17-year-old attacked children and adults trying to stop him at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport. Three girls died, and 10 were injured.

A week later, Swift was forced to cancel her three planned concerts at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna, Austria, over a terrorist threat that was uncovered and neutralized.

Three teenage males were arrested in Austria for involvement in the plot that was intended to cause the mass murder of attendees of Swift’s sold-out concerts, as well as onlookers near the stadium. In 2025, a juvenile male in Germany was also charged with aiding the teens in Austria.

Immediately following her final bow at Wembley Stadium, the billionaire singer runs offstage and embraces a member of her management team.

She then proceeds to ask him if “anything bad happened” during the concert that she might’ve missed.

When he assures her all is well, Swift hops into her waiting SUV and calls Kelce to share how happy she was that “it went so great.”

“Baby, it’s like the crowd knew that I needed a pick-me-up. They were – when I walked out on stage, they were wilder than I’ve ever seen,” she gushed as he let her know that he could hear her joy in her voice.

“I’m so happy to be back to doing this in a functional way. Like I was so happy that I thought I was going to forget how to play guitar and sing.”
