Randy Orton teases WWE return while hyping Royal Rumble

Randy Orton may have hinted at a possible return to the ring, according to comments he made during a promotional appearance in Saudi Arabia.

On Friday, Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, shared a TikTok video featuring Orton promoting the upcoming Royal Rumble and the SmackDown event the night before in Riyadh.

“Make sure you get your tickets, and I’ll see you at the Royal Rumble — or I’ll see you at SmackDown,” Orton told fans.

The two-time Royal Rumble winner last competed on the Oct. 3 episode of SmackDown, teaming with Cody Rhodes against Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker of The Vision. Orton was pinned by Reed after a Tsunami.

“The Viper” has been absent from WWE programming since but resurfaced this week in Saudi Arabia alongside Liv Morgan, Grayson Waller, and Omos as part of Riyadh Season, the country’s annual entertainment festival.

As part of the event, WWE will bring two shows to Riyadh in January. SmackDown takes place Friday, Jan. 30, followed by the Royal Rumble the next night. Both events will be held at the King Abdullah Financial District.
