Defending champion Luke Littler overcame Darius Labanauskas on Thursday, while the likes of Michael Smith and Gian van Veen have also progressed past the opening round of the tournament.
Anderson, who won the competition in 2015 and 2016, became the latest big name to advance as he avoided an upset by sealing a 3-2 victory today.
But he had to come from 2-1 down and Hunt, 32, had viewers flooding social media after he was seen doing the six-seven dance TWICE at the Ally Pally.
Sky Sports footage showed the world No84 doing the viral hand gesture during his walk out and after taking the second set with a fine checkout.

And he hit out at Hunt for playing mind games while on the Ally Pally stage.
Anderson said: “He’s never played like that for the last 12 months. At the first break, he popped his head into me, ‘when was the last time you played like that?’
“I went: ‘I play like that all the time, son’. It’s as simple as that.
“I went, cheeky little… We talk about mind games, but when was the last time you played like that?

“It’s not a thing. I’ve played darts a long time. I still bang in the 110 plus averages. So, yeah, I can still play the game how it should be.”
Ahead of the World Championship, he confirmed that he has no interest in returning to Premier League Darts for the first time since 2022.
