Last week, the Seattle Seahawks were ranked number one by all five national media sites polled (NFL.com, Pro Football Talk, Bleacher Report, ESPN, and CBS Sports). This occurred after the Seahawks took on the Los Angeles Rams in a roller coaster prime time victory in week 16. To nobody’s surprise, after Seattle defeated the Carolina Panthers in Week 17, the team remains at number one in all five rankings. This makes this week’s power rankings roundup (the last of 2025) a tad less controversial. However, let us still walk through what the five national media sites are saying about the Seahawks ahead of their week 18 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, one that will determine the NFC West winner, and the No. 1 Seed in the NFC.
Overall, the Seahawks 2025 season has been filled with tremendous optimism and momentum. However, the script is still not finished for Seattle. Despite already moving from 10 wins in 2024 to 13 wins (so-far) in 2025, the Seahawks still have the opportunity to win the NFC West and nab the No. 1 Seed in the NFC.
