5 Love Island stars who are ‘banned’ from All Stars spin off

Love Island All Stars returns to ITV2 on January 12 but some familiar faces are very unlikely to appear

A brand new season of Love Island All Stars is set to return to ITV screens sooner than you think.

Host Maya Jama will once again play host to a fresh batch of familiar faces, all hoping to rekindle the flame of love. Beloved Islanders from the past decade will descend upon the luxurious villa in South Africa, on a mission to find that elusive spark.

In a thrilling twist, the third instalment of the hit show has been extended to a huge six weeks, giving fans even more time to indulge in the saucy antics of the Islanders. The new season will kick off on ITV2 on Monday, January 12 at 9pm, but the exact cast remains a closely guarded secret.

To build anticipation, ITV dropped an explosive teaser trailer, hinting at unfinished business, revenge, and plenty of drama. The network teased: “Even after so much Love Island drama, there’s still PLENTY of unfinished business. Love. Friendship. Bromance. Revenge? With All Star islanders returning to the villa, it’s time to tie up all these loose ends.

“So we’re asking the audience to crack who’s back. If you can connect the clues, you might be able to work out who’s got unfinished business. Maya’s ready to lead the charge. Let the guessing begin.”

Fans of Love Island might be dismayed to learn that certain former contestants have been effectively ruled out of future appearances, thanks to producers’ fears of “cast fatigue”, reports OK!

Recent competitors on the show’s spin-off, Love Island Games, will no longer be considered, a source revealed to the media. Those that this could potentially spell the end for the following stars.

Toby Aromolaran

Toby, who first competed on Love Island in 2021, finishing as runner-up with Chloe Burrows. The pair’s romance did not survive beyond their time on the show.

Toby has also made an appearance on All Stars in 2024, and two series of Love Island Games – one in 2023 and one more recently in 2025.

Tyrique Hyde

Tyrique’s stint in the Love Island villa was in 2023 and was notable for his third-place finish.

A recent outing on Love Island Games earned him second place.

Lucinda Strafford

Lucinda first hit screens on Love Island in 2017, later opting for an appearance on the Australian iteration of the show, which proved more fruitful.

The starlet has added Love Island Games winner to her credentials after a successful run-in.

Gabby Allen

Gabby’s Love Island history dates to 2017, when she finished fourth alongside now-ex Marcel Somerville.

The pair announced their parting soon after the show. Allen went on to compete with the likes of Olivia Attwood and Chris Hughes and more recently on All Stars, emerging as winner on the latter as well as Love Island Games this year.

Casey O’Gorman

Casey O’Gorman is no stranger to the Love Island villa

Casey also competed on the original show, but in 2023 – without managing to secure a romantic connection.

However, the star’s last appearance seems to have been during a normal season so Casey is expected to be eligible. He also made a comeback in the villa for All Stars seasons one and two, clinching the winner’s title in the second season with his then partner Gabby Allen.

He recently reappeared on Love Island Games where he had a reunion with his ex, Gabby.

Love Island All Stars returns on Monday, January 12.
