Firefighters work to put out West Hartford house fire

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – Crews extinguished a house fire in West Hartford on Friday night.
At around 10:39 p.m. firefighters were dispatched to a reported fire at a residence located on Keeney Avenue, according to the fire department.
When crews arrived, they saw smoke and fire coming from the back of the structure.
On scene firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire, limiting damage primarily to the rear of the building, with minor extension into the home.
Officials said the occupants of the home were able to get out of the residence before first responders arrived on scene.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time, but officials say this incident does not appear to be suspicious.
