Suns-Rockets live updates. Grayson Allen set to return at Houston

Suns head coach reacts to win vs. reigning champion Thunder
The Phoenix Suns won a 108-105 stunner over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Jan. 4 before a sellout crowd of 17,071 at Mortgage Matchup Center.
HOUSTON — The Phoenix Suns look to top the Houston Rockets for the first time this season on Monday, Jan. 5 at Toyota Center in the second of a back-to-back.
The 6 p.m. game will be televised on 3TV and Arizona’s Family Sports.
The Suns (21-14) stunned defending NBA champion Oklahoma City, 108-105, Jan. 4 at Mortgage Matchup Center on Devin Booker’s 3-pointer with 0.7 seconds remaining. It was Phoenix’s first win over the Thunder (30-6) this season in snapping an eight-game losing skid against them dating back to the 2023-24 season.
Phoenix has lost twice to Houston (21-14) in their two previous games this season. The Rockets are down All-Star big Alperen Sengun (right ankle sprain), while Steven Adams is listed as questionable (right ankle sprain).
The Suns have Grayson Allen (right knee injury management) listed as probable as he’s missed Phoenix’s last nine games. Mark Williams (right knee injury management) is also probable for Monday’s game. This would be just the second time he’s played in back-to-back games this season.
Jalen Green (right hamstring strain) remains out as he has yet to play against his former team this season. The Suns acquired Green in the Kevin Durant trade. Jamaree Bouyee has also been ruled out under concussion protocol, after he took an elbow to the face from Ajay Mitchell in Sunday’s game.
Suns guard Jordan Goodwin will once again play with a mask due to a jaw strain. He scored a career-high 26 points, hitting eight 3s, also a career best in Sunday’s win.
