The outlet also suggested that Brazilian side Flamengo could be one of the clubs interested in signing the 28-year-old, along with teams from Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Yet when replying with a comment on Instagram to the story, Richarlison himself wrote: “Who said that? F*** of (sic).”

Richarlison has been linked with moves away from Spurs for the last few seasons.

He revealed last term that he had a lucrative offer from Saudi but decided to stay with Tottenham, publicly commenting “the money is big but my dreams are bigger”.

There was a time when Spurs would have been keen to cash in on Richarlison, whom they signed for £60million from Everton in 2022.

That was because his injury record and performances on the pitch rarely lived up to the big fee they shelled out on him.

But this term he has been one of Thomas Frank’s most reliable players, both in terms of minutes on the pitch and goal threat up top.

With Dominic Solanke out all season so far – barring three sub appearances in August – it has been largely on Richarlison to lead the line for Tottenham.

He has already played 31 times for the club this season, scoring eight goals.

The former Watford man looks a good bet to be in Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad for the World Cup in the summer and has an impressive record for his country, netting 20 times in 54 caps.

He was given 25 minutes against Bournemouth on Wednesday night but was unable to stop Antoine Semenyo netting a 95th-minute winner for the Cherries.
