Maxim Naumov [on what he thought about]: “My parents, what we talked about and how much we discussed this through my entire life, and how much it means to us, and how much the Olympics is part of our family. I thought of them immediately. I wish they could be here to experience it with me, but I do feel their presence and they are with me.”

Andrew Torgashev: “So surreal. It’s everything I’ve been working for. It’s the reason I get up in the morning and go train in the morning. It’s the reason that I’ve been doing this through hard times and good times for I don’t know how many years. Ever since seeing Evan Lysacek win in 2010, I wanted to one day call myself an Olympian. I’m so happy for myself and this group of guys, who are now all able to call ourselves Olympians.”

This was well out of our control, and the fact we are here right now, we are so grateful and give credit where credit is due.”

Danny O’Shea: “[We want] to make the most of every moment we have there. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We want to go out there and skate the way we know we can, but at the same time experience skating across those Olympic rings, looking at the crowd at the Olympics, experiencing having our families with us having achieved the dream of our 4-year-old selves.”

It’s such an honor to be a part of Team USA and represent our country and U.S. Figure Skating at the Olympics. I feel so grateful to be part of this team. All of the people on the team are so incredible, so special and so talented.”
