‘All love’: Raptors fans react to potential last game in Toronto for Kyle Lowry

The franchise icon checked in to close the Philadelphia 76ers’ blowout win, in what may have been Lowry’s final game in Toronto. And to no one’s surprise, Scotiabank Arena erupted into a standing ovation to celebrate the GROAT (Greatest Raptor of All Time), as he’s commonly been referred to.
Lowry only played for 1:57 and went 0-of-3 from the field, but none of that mattered as he was showered with cheers every time he touched the ball — even before he subbed in, fans were chanting “We want Lowry” for much of the fourth quarter.
The 39-year-old spent nine years with the Raptors, helping them win their lone NBA title in 2019, and left the franchise as its leader in assists, three-pointers, steals, triple-doubles and win shares. He also ranks second only to DeMar DeRozan in all-time points and games played for Toronto.
And while Lowry is in Year 20, and has taken on more of a mentorship role with his hometown 76ers, the veteran has yet to outright state 2025-26 as his final NBA season. What he has committed to, however, is that once he does call it quits, it’s going to be with the Raptors.
“My goal — and I’ve committed to this and I’ll go from what I say — I will sign a one-day contract and retire as a Raptor,” Lowry told reporters on Sunday.
And if Monday’s short stint was his final appearance as a player in Toronto, the Raptors faithful made sure to make the most of it. Here are some of the best reactions.
