Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney enjoyed a rare public outing together.

The Die My Love actress, 35, and her filmmaker husband, 41, stepped out together at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Jan. 11, for a rare date night.

Lawrence, who’s nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in the 2025 film, dazzled in a sheer plunging custom Givenchy gown with side cutouts and strategically placed floral embroidery, while Maroney kept it simple with a black suit and bowtie.

Die My Love is based on the novel by Ariana Harwicz, where Lawrence stars opposite Robert Pattinson as a married mother who develops postpartum depression. It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and earned a nine-minute standing ovation.

The Oscar-winning actress and the art dealer first met through a mutual friend in 2018 and later got married in October 2019 at the Belcourt of Newport mansion in Rhode Island. They welcomed their first child, son Cy, three years later in February 2022. Lawrence and Maroney expanded their family again in 2025 with the arrival of their second child, another boy.

Back in December, the couple posed for a rare photo together on a New York City date night. Lawrence and Maroney stepped out at a 50th anniversary celebration for the N.Y.C. SoHo-based restaurant Raoul’s on Tuesday, Dec. 9, co-hosted by actor Chloë Sevigny and the former Vogue editor Lauren Santo Domingo. The couple was photographed smiling together as they sat at a booth and enjoyed drinks at the event.

In an interview in The New Yorker published on Oct. 27, Lawrence recalled her first encounter with her now-husband, which left quite the impression on the actress. She told the outlet that she had mentioned to mutual friend, writer-director Gene Stupnitsky, that she was interested in buying a painting, and he recommended that she speak with Maroney.

“I was, like, ‘What kind of name is this? What do I call him?’ ” Lawrence said. When she met him after he invited her to a gallery show, “I was like, ‘Whoa,’ ” she continued.

“I had no idea he was hot or single,” she said of the 6-foot-5 Maroney.

In a 2021 interview with Vanity Fair, she opened up about married life and how she enjoys spending time with Maroney.

“I really enjoy going to the grocery store with him. I don’t know why but it fills me with a lot of joy,” she said. “I think maybe because it’s almost a metaphor for marriage. ‘Okay, we’ve got this list. These are the things we need. Let’s work together and get this done.'”
