Three seasons of one of CW’s most beloved shows is officially on Netflix, letting fans check out one of the biggest neo-noir mystery series ever.
What CW show is joining Netflix?
Veronica Mars, the mystery drama series starring Kristen Bell, is available on Netflix now. Unfortunately, only the show’s first three seasons are on the streamer, with the fourth and final season exclusively available on Hulu as of the time of this writing.
Originally premiering in 2004, the series followed the story of Veronica Mars, a student who moonlights as a private investigator under her father. She solves a variety of cases, with each of the first two seasons involving one season-long arc that took place over the course of every episode as well.
The series was created by screenwriter Rob Thomas, and became a cult classic after it was canceled following its third season. In 2013, Bell and Thomas launched a crowdfunding project to produce a film, and raised over $5 million in total for the project. A movie based on the show was released in 2014, and then a follow-up fourth season was released in 2019.
Currently, there are no plans for a Veronica Mars Season 5. Alongside Bell, the series also starred Percy Daggs III, Teddy Dunn, Jason Dohring, Sydney Tamilia Poitier, Francis Capra, Enrico Colantoni, Ryan Hansen, Kyle Gallner, Tessa Thompson, Julie Gonzalo, Chris Lowell, Tina Majorino, and Michael Muhney.
