Elijah Moore elevated by Broncos after providing intel on Bills

Elijah Moore was elevated from the Denver Broncos’ practice squad one day before the team’s divisional round matchup against the Buffalo Bills. All he had to do to earn the elevation was share as much information as possible on his former team.
Moore, 25, signed a one-year deal with the Bills in late April. After the team failed to make any significant moves at receiver in the offseason, there was a belief that Moore could break out in Buffalo.
It never happened.
Moore appeared in nine games with the Bills and ended up with nine receptions for 112 yards. He added 24 yards and one score on six carries before both sides agreed to a mutual parting of ways.
After getting his release, no team attempted to sign Moore to its 53-man roster. The Broncos, however, signed Moore to their practice squad.
Moore has not played any snaps with Denver since joining the team, but he has proven valuable ahead of the divisional round. Ahead of tomorrow’s matchup, Moore stated that he has given Denver as much information as possible on Buffalo.
“I did all I can in meetings,” Moore said via Chris Tomasson. “They asked me questions. Whatever they asked, I gave it to them.”
What Moore did ahead of the divisional round is nothing new. Teams often consult with players who have previously spent time with their opposition. Time will tell just how valuable Moore’s answers were to the Broncos.
Despite the elevation, there is a good chance that Moore is among the Broncos’ inactives on Saturday. His elevation in that case would be the reward for helping Denver prepare for Buffalo.
