As the New England Patriots prepare for their first Divisional Round playoff game since the 2018 NFL season, it is obvious that this season has been pivotal for the team.
However, this season has also brought about big changes in the Patriots’ WAGs – or wives and girlfriends – scene, with quarterback Drake Maye marrying the “First Lady of New England” and wide receiver Stefon Diggs announcing his relationship with superstar rapper Cardi B ahead of the 2025 season. Wondering how exactly the relationship between the rapper and the star player came to be?
Here’s what to know about Cardi B’s connection to the Patriots as the New England team heads into the Divisional Round of the playoffs.
What is Cardi B’s connection to the Patriots?
Cardi B and Stefon Diggs began dating following the rapper’s final split from Offset in 2024. The couple was first spotted together in October of 2024, with Cardi B eventually confirming their relationship through a since-deleted Instagram post in June of 2025. The rapper attended multiple of her boyfriend’s home games at Gillette Stadium this season.
On Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, Cardi B confirmed via Instagram that the couple had welcomed their first child together, a baby boy. A secondary post from Nov. 19 shows the baby swaddled in a Patriots blanket and matching hat, both covered in footballs, Patriots logos and Stefon Diggs’ name.
Diggs is currently facing criminal charges for felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault, accusations which both he and Cardi B deny. In a now-deleted post on X, Cardi B directly called the accusation a lie, writing “Not once has that woman said anything to me about being touched. […] Mind you, we was talking every single day until she left that house.”
Does Cardi B live in Massachusetts?
Stefon Diggs and Cardi B reportedly purchased a house in Easton for $2.5 million in December of 2025. Chelsea McLaughlin, real estate agent and owner of RE/MAX Legacy, confirmed the news in a Facebook video touring the home.
The rapper has since been spotted at various businesses in Massachusetts, including Star Market in Dedham earlier this month, according to a fan’s story on TikTok.
