Suns’ Jalen Green in, 76ers’ Embiid out

Mark Williams is questionable and Jalen Green will officially make his long-awaited return from injury for the Phoenix Suns against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old guard acquired in the offseason from Houston in the Kevin Durant trade suffered a hamstring injury that has limited him to just 30 minutes of court time over two games this season.

Green missed the first eight games of 2025-26 and first appeared on Nov. 6 against the Los Angeles Clippers. He scored 29 points in just 23 minutes, but just two days later, he reinjured his hamstring seven minutes into another game against the Clippers.

Green was re-evaluated on Dec. 22, where it was announced he would miss two to three more weeks.

Williams is listed with right knee injury management. He played 29 minutes on Monday in the Suns’ victory in Brooklyn and posted 16 points, eight rebounds, three blocks and two steals.

76ers’ injury report vs. Suns

Joel Embiid is out for the 76ers due to right ankle injury management. Embiid scored 30 points in 33 minutes in Philadelphia’s victory over the Indiana Pacers on Monday. The 2023 NBA MVP has played in 23 of the 76ers’ 41 games this season. Embiid has yet to be cleared to play in back-to-backs.

Embiid typically misses back-to-backs for left knee injury management, so the “right ankle injury management,” is a new designation.

Paul George (left knee injury management) is questionable for Philadelphia. The nine-time NBA All-Star and six-time member of the All-NBA Team missed Monday’s win over the Pacers.

Suns-76ers will tip off at 5 p.m. MST on 98.7 and the Arizona Sports app.
