Kelli Giddish has something major in common with Mariska Hargitay — they both met their husbands while working on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Giddish stopped by The Drew Barrymore Show on Tuesday, January 20 to chat about everything from her role as Amanda Rollins on SVU to her kids and, yes, her husband, Beau Richards, whom she married in 2021.
Though Giddish didn’t reveal exactly how or when they met — Richards has never appeared on SVU nor is he credited as a crew member in any episode — the famously private star did give talk show host Drew Barrymore a hint of their first meeting.

“We worked on SVU together,” Giddish said.
Barrymore wasn’t surprised to learn the tidbit.
“Where else do you find people when you’re living 18 hours at work a day?” the 50 First Dates star said. “People frown upon inter-office romance — I’m like, ‘Why? That’s where you’re at! That’s where you’re spending your life, that’s where you’re gonna find people.’ So you found each other.”
“Yes, we found each other,” Giddish confirmed.
How many children does Kelli Giddish have?
In June of 2023, Giddish and her husband Beau welcomed a son, Oldie, who joined Giddish’s other two children, boys Ludo and Charlie, from her previous marriage.

When Barrymore asked Giddish how she balances being a mom to three kids with working on SVU, she revealed the secret.
“I mean, I have a wonderful husband. My kids are really great little human beings — every single one of them,” Kiddish explained. “So, I’ve got tons of support from him. I have three great little boys. I have a wonderful nanny that helps me. Because, sometimes I have to leave for work at 5:45 in the morning. You have to have a great support team. My mother comes and helps, my mother-in-law.”
According to the longtime SVU star, her son with Beau just may be a future NFL quarterback.
“We just had a son two years ago, so now, we’ve got that — who is two years old and already throwing spirals, with his dad [playing] football. The kid is amazing,” she explained.
Coincidentally, Giddish’s friend and SVU co-star Hargitay met her now-husband, Peter Hermann, when he began appearing on the iconic series back in Season 3.
