Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-80s by Jan. 25, according to the National Weather Service.
The Treasure Coast could have record high temperatures over the weekend before a couple cold fronts arrive starting late Jan. 25, according to the National Weather Service in Melbourne.
While most of the rest of the United States is dealing with a major winter storm, said meteorologist Derrick Weitlich, Florida is feeling more like summer with temperatures expected to reach the mid-80s by Jan. 25.
Treasure Coast weekend weather swings from mid 80s to 30s
Join us on a weather rollercoaster ride on the Treasure Coast as temperatures swing from the mid 80s to the 30s. Stay tuned for record highs and chilly lows!
High temperatures in the upper 70s — and even the low 80s inland — continue into Jan. 24 before they rise the next day into the mid-80s, which is near the record high temperature, Weitlich said.
Vero Beach and Fort Pierce reached 86 degrees on Jan. 25, 2023, he said. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 85 degrees over the weekend.
Low temperatures at night were expected to be in the 60s throughout the weekend, Weitlich said.
The cold front north of Florida pushes through the night of Jan. 25 across the state and into early Jan. 26 on the Treasure Coast, dropping high temperatures into the 70s, he said.
Another cold front pushes through mid-week, dropping high temperatures into the mid- to upper 60s by Jan. 29, Weitlich said.
The first cold front brings temperatures back down closer to normal while the second one takes them down to below normal, he said, with a return to the upper 30s in early mornings.
Rain chances remain low with isolated showers from the fronts, Weitlich said, but no lightning is expected.
Here’s the National Weather Service forecast:
- Jan. 26: High temps in 70s, low temps in low to mid-40s and upper 30s inland with wind chills in low to mid-30s
- Jan. 27: High temps in upper 60s, low temps in low to mid-40s and low 50s along Maritn County coast
